Übersicht über öffentlich geförderte Energieforschung
[Juel-1051-SE]
Jülich : Kernforschungsanlage Jülich, Verlag, Berichte der Kernforschungsanlage Jülich, 1051, 1974 pp. (1974)
A$_{100}$ = 11 eV, Abschirmkonstante B = 3,33 $\mathring{A}^{-1}$. Allosteric Communication Networks in Proteins Revealed through Pocket Crosstalk Analysis
ddc:540
The detection and characterization of binding pockets and allosteric communication in proteins is crucial for studying biological regulation and performing drug design. Nowadays, ever-longer molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are routinely used to investigate the spatiotemporal evolution of proteins [...]

Quantification of γ-H2AX foci following γ-rays and α-particls in Jurkat cells
37th Annual Meeting of the European Radiation Research Society, ERRS, Meeting locationPrague, Czech Republic, 26 Aug 2009 - 29 Aug 20092009-08-262009-08-29
PURPOSE: Phosphorylation of histone H2AX occurs at sites flanking DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) and can provide a measure of the number of DSBs within a cell. We investigated whether the mean intensity measured by flow cytometry and the mean number of radiation-induced γ-H2AX foci vary as a function of radiation quality and dose. [...]

HIGH EXPRESSION LEVELS OF SURVIVIN PROTEIN DOES NOT ABOLISH UV-INDUCED APOPTOSIS IN SCL-II CELLS
11th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Biological Radiation Research, GBS, Meeting locationTübingen, Germany, 6 Oct 2008 - 8 Oct 20082008-10-062008-10-08
Survivin is a member of the inhibitors of apoptosis and has been implicated in both the regulation of cell division and the suppression of apoptosis. Whereas over-expression of survivin correlates with an unfavourable prognosis in many malignant tumours, siRNA against survivin causes a reduction of cell proliferation, the induction of apoptosis and an enhanced radiosensitivity of squamous cell carcinoma cell lines and other tumour cell lines. [...]

Genotoxicity of Iodine-123 labeled 5-Iodo-2´-deoxyuridine in comparison to high- and low-LET radiation
8th International Symposium on Physical, Molecular, Cellular and Medical Aspects of Auger Processes, Meeting locationNara, Japan, 20 May 2015 - 22 May 20152015-05-202015-05-22
To determine the genotoxic effects after exposure to Iodine-123 labeled 5-Iodo-2´-deoxyuridine (I-123-UdR) in comparison to α- and γ-irradiation, micronucleus (MN) induction and γ-H2AX formation were analyzed.Jurkat cells were either exposed to I-123-UdR for 20 h or irradiated with different doses of γ-rays (Cs-137, 0.7 Gy/min) or α-particles (Am-241, 0.032 Gy/min). Cells were assayed for MN formation employing automated image analysis (MetaSystems, Germany) [...]
