Since PMMA-based gel polymer electrolytes could substitute PVDF-HFP based gels currently used in Li-ion batteries at lower financial and environmental costs, we investigate here the solvation and transport properties of the lithium ions in a crosslinked PMMA-based gel polymer electrolyte by a combination of thermal and electrochemical methods, Raman spectroscopy, pulse field gradient (PFG) and electrophoretic NMR (eNMR) techniques, as well as ab initio calculations. The conductivity of the gel containing 10 wt% polymer is only reduced by 14% relative to the liquid electrolyte. [...]

Unambiguous determination of the commensurate antiferromagnetic structure of HoNi 2 B 2 C in the superconducting ground state
Crystal and magnetic structures of the intermetallic HoNi2B2C have been investigated using different single-crystal diffraction techniques at both room and low temperatures (superconducting phase). Combined refinement of the neutron and x-ray diffraction data performed at room temperature shows that the crystal structure of HoNi2B2C is well described in the tetragonal space group I4/mmm, in agreement with the literature. Crystal structure of Mo-substituted lanthanum tungstate La 5.4 W 1− y Mo y O 12−δ (0 ≤ y ≤ 0.2) studied by X-ray and neutron diffraction
A determination of the detailed crystal structure of an Mo-substituted lanthanum tungstate series, La6−xW1−yMoyO12−δ (0 ≤ y ≤ 0.2, δ is the oxygen deficiency), is presented. Material of composition La5.4W0.8Mo0.2O12−δ (y = 0.2) produced by the citrate-complexation route based on the Pechini method was investigated by high-resolution X-ray diffraction and neutron diffraction in the temperature range 10 ≤ T ≤ 298 K.
