The Food‐Energy‐(Watervirtual)‐Nexus of the German households – a budget analysis
Volume 2: Proceedings of 11th International Conference on Applied Energy, Part 1, Sweden, 2019, Västeras, SwedenVästeras, Sweden, Sweden, 12 Aug 2019 - 15 Aug 20192019-08-122019-08-15 Energy Proceedings 2, ()
This paper addresses the issue of social inequality by comparing German household data (gross income, Food‐Energy‐(Watervirtual)‐Nexus expenditures) from2008 and 2013. The distribution of gross income and of the FE(Wvirtual)‐Nexus related consumption expenditures based on this income is analysed using a three stepapproach: First, the real distribution is determined, secondly, the dispersion (based on Rawls’ philosophical concept) is analysed, and finally, the normativedistribution according to the Atkinson index is calculated to reveal a view on social inequality. Solar Neutrino Spectroscopy in Borexino
5th International Solar Neutrino Conference, DresdenDresden, Germany, 11 Jun 2019 - 14 Jun 20192019-06-112019-06-14 WORLD SCIENTIFIC () [10.1142/9789811204296_0016]
In more than ten years of operation, Borexino has performed a precision measurement of the solar neutrino spectrum, resolving almost all spectral components originating from the proton-proton fusion chain. The presentation will review the results recently released for the second data taking phase 2012–2016 during which the detector excelled by its unprecedentedly low background levels. [...]

Limit on the effective magnetic moment of solar neutrinos using Borexino data
5th International Solar Neutrino Conference, DresdenDresden, Germany, 11 Jun 2018 - 14 Jun 20182018-06-112018-06-14 WORLD SCIENTIFIC () [10.1142/9789811204296_0018]
The possibility of a non-zero neutrino magnetic moment has been checked using Borexino Phase-II solar neutrino data. The expected signal considered in the analysis is a contribution to the neutrino-electron scattering cross section induced by electromagnetic interactions. [...]

Zinc oxide is often used as the transparent conductive layer in thin-film solar cells. In thin-film silicon solar cells the ZnO layer is additionally used as a source of light trapping; light scattering features can be introduced by sputter deposition and etching of ZnO in a dilute HCl solution.
