Abstract: In La0.7Sr0.3MnO(3-δ) (LSMO), the topotactic phase transition from the Perovskite(PV) phase to the layered oxygen-vacancy-ordered Brownmillerite (BM)phase can be triggered by deoxygenation. We realized this phase transition inboth a strained LSMO thin film system and bulk-like unstrained LSMO powdersystem via assisted thermal vacuum annealing. For thin film, A metal-toinsulatorand simultaneously a ferromagnetic-to-antiferromagnetic transitionis found. For powder, the evolution of crystal and spin structure at differentoxygen-deficient states from PV to BM is determined using neutron diffraction.
