520 _ _ |a The scope of this presentation covers insights on which properties of a separator are needed for a successful application in an Aluminum/AlCl3-[EMIm]Cl/ graphite battery system. The separator should prevent dendrite grows while minimizing the wight and space needed, without effecting the energy density or overall performance of the batterie. At the same time the life-time of the batterie should be increased and the recyclability of the materials should be ensured.
