Participants are not required to attend all sessions as some may cover advanced or basic material. While flexibility is offered, it is important to assess personal needs and choose sessions accordingly, as attending lectures out of order may result in knowledge gaps.Research Centre Jülich provides cutting-edge high-performance computing resources to scientific groups and industry partners across Germany and Europe via the John von Neumann Institute for Computing. To help new users of JSC's supercomputers efficiently leverage their allocated resources, we offer an introductory course that covers system basics and best practices. The course includes theoretical lectures held every afternoon from Monday to Thursday, and practical tutorials offered in the mornings from Tuesday to Thursday. The tutorials are based on the previous afternoon's lectures and allow articipants to put theory into practice. We cover a wide range of topics, starting from basic log-in procedures to intermediate-level techniques. Participants are free to choose the lectures that best match their needs and interests.Topics covered include:User account management with the JuDoor portalSystem access via SSH, Jupyter, and UNICORESystem configuration for JURECA and JUWELSFile systems, I/O, and data managementSoftware modules (compilers, MPI, math libraries, applications, debuggers, tools)Building software from sourceSubmitting jobs via the resource managerUsing GPUsPerformance tuningDeep LearningVisualization 001038648 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5112$$a5112 - Cross-Domain Algorithms, Tools, Methods Labs (ATMLs) and Research Groups (POF4-511)$$cPOF4-511$$fPOF IV$$x0 001038648 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel-1)E54.303.11$$aHelmholtz AI Consultant Team FB Information (E54.303.11)$$cE54.303.11$$x1 001038648 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel-1)ATMLAO$$aATMLAO - ATML Application Optimization and User Service Tools (ATMLAO)$$cATMLAO$$x2 001038648 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)144419$$aZhukov, Ilya$$b1 001038648 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)192488$$aZjupa, Jolanta$$b2 001038648 8564_ $$uhttps://strube1.pages.jsc.fz-juelich.de/2024-11-talk-intro-to-supercompting-jsc/#/title-slide 001038648 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:1038648$$pVDB 001038648 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)140202$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 001038648 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)144419$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b1$$kFZJ 001038648 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)192488$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b2$$kFZJ 001038648 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-511$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-510$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$9G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5112$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lEngineering Digital Futures – Supercomputing, Data Management and Information Security for Knowledge and Action$$vEnabling Computational- & Data-Intensive Science and Engineering$$x0 001038648 9141_ $$y2024 001038648 920__ $$lyes 001038648 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)JSC-20090406$$kJSC$$lJülich Supercomputing Center$$x0 001038648 980__ $$alecture 001038648 980__ $$aVDB 001038648 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)JSC-20090406 001038648 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
