Note: Das Ziel von “QuGrids” (Quantenbasierte Energienetze) ist die Erforschung der Frage, wie quantenbasierte Technologien (Quantencomputing und Quantenkommunikation) die Planung und den Betrieb von Energienetzen verändern können. Zu diesem Zweck soll ein in Nordrhein-Westfalen angesiedeltes Netzwerk geschaffen werden, welches die Erforschung und Entwicklung von quantenbasierten Energienetzen vorantreibt und zugleich Nachwuchsförderung in diesem Bereich leistet. Das Konsortium geht davon aus, dass die Quantentechnologie die Planung und den Betrieb von Energienetzen einschließlich der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien dramatisch revolutionieren kann. Zu diesem Zweck soll im Konsortium interdisziplinäre Grundlagenforschung betrieben werden.
