The increasing size and complexity of the relevant datasets and computational workloads as well as the integration of AI methods into day to day scientific practice, have made high performance computing (HPC) essential to address scientific questions beyond the state of the art. HPC systems are also becoming a common virtual space for scientists to exchange, collaborate and combine their methods and perspectives efficiently. In this webinar, we will present a set of use cases that leverage High Performance Computing (HPC) to solve problems in brain research and brain-inspired technology development. With this webinar, we want to showcase the potential benefits of using HPC infrastructure to enable, accelerate and make more robust and reproducible science. The online event will conclude with a Q&A session.

The webinar will feature the following presenters:

David Kappel: University of Bielefeld
Felix Wolf, Marvin Kaster and Fabian Czappa: University of Darmstadt
Christian Schiffer: Forschungszentrum Jülich
Sandra Diaz: Forschungszentrum Jülich 001048762 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5254$$a5254 - Neuroscientific Data Analytics and AI (POF4-525)$$cPOF4-525$$fPOF IV$$x0 001048762 536__ $$0G:(EU-Grant)101147319$$aEBRAINS 2.0 - EBRAINS 2.0: A Research Infrastructure to Advance Neuroscience and Brain Health (101147319)$$c101147319$$fHORIZON-INFRA-2022-SERV-B-01$$x1 001048762 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)InterLabs-0015$$aHIBALL - Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Laboratory (HIBALL) (InterLabs-0015)$$cInterLabs-0015$$x2 001048762 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel-1)E.40401.62$$aHelmholtz AI - Helmholtz Artificial Intelligence Coordination Unit – Local Unit FZJ (E.40401.62)$$cE.40401.62$$x3 001048762 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)ZT-I-PF-4-061$$aX-BRAIN (ZT-I-PF-4-061)$$cZT-I-PF-4-061$$x4 001048762 8564_ $$uhttps://ebrains.eu/news-and-events/events/2025/ebrains-webinar-series-using-hpc-infrastructure-to-enable-and-boost?_cldee=knrQJquDd3uMxvM3ONX_I-SL38Qs88Du8IHv6Co4kUnvsQWRkt2ZYYBTtJXrAKvo&recipientid=contact-c1390680b20ded1182e4000d3adecc12-9da9198c1eb5466a99414ab2866f1a13&esid=633d44a6-54b6-f011-bbd2-7ced8d2d768e 001048762 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:1048762$$popenaire$$pVDB$$pec_fundedresources 001048762 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)170068$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 001048762 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-520$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$9G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5254$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lNatural, Artificial and Cognitive Information Processing$$vDecoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction$$x0 001048762 9141_ $$y2025 001048762 920__ $$lyes 001048762 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)INM-1-20090406$$kINM-1$$lStrukturelle und funktionelle Organisation des Gehirns$$x0 001048762 980__ $$atalk 001048762 980__ $$aVDB 001048762 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)INM-1-20090406 001048762 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
