Abstract: We present an interdisciplinary work that brings together crowd simulations and safety planning. Crowd simulations were used to assist in planning of major events in Düsseldorf, Germany, with a particular focus on departure scenarios after the events have ended. This work describes the challenges of modeling these types of scenarios and how the results have been incorporated into Saftes planning.
