001052154 680__ $$aAgricultural pest control has traditionally relied heavily on synthetic pesticides to manage and mitigate pest populations effectively. These chemicals offer quick and potent solutions but often come with environmental concerns and potential health risks. As a result, there is a growing need for sustainable pest management strategies. With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the BIOMAC-BP project focuses on microbial pesticides as a safer alternative. The key objective is to incorporate bio-sourced 2-phase high-interface materials in biopesticide formulations to stabilise bacterial cargo. These materials are expected to improve bacterial fitness and enhance the stability and effectiveness of biopesticides.
