Abstract: We provide here the code and data for our manuscript 'Multiresolution-based grid adaptation for the compression of ERA5 meteorological reanalysis data in MPTRACv2.7'. With the here provided code and data our results presented in the manuscript can be reproduced. Note, there was a last minute change of the name of the cmultiscale library to MRA-MW.  This has to be considered when using the run scripts provided here. The functions and control parameters need to be renamed in mptrac.c when using MPTRAC v2.7. We are considering publishing an adjusted version of MPTRAC v2.7 or a patch to fix this.
