Abstract: The JUZURA project, developed by six apprentices at the Forschungszentrum Jülich, has won the Helmholtz-Ausbildungspreis 2026 of 3000 Euro. The project was developed by six aspiring IT Specialists for System Integration (Fachinformatiker:in für Systemintegration; FiSi): Jannik Ophey (JSC; project lead), Paul Steins (IBG-1; project lead), Dwayne Schallert (IBG-2), Nesibe Sural (IBG-1), Sebastian Künne (ITS), and Tobias Nieveler (INM-1).<br>With this award, the Helmholtz Association honours outstanding, creative achievements by apprentices at the Helmholtz Centers that have contributed to improving workflows, inspiring creative solutions in everyday work, or facilitating knowledge transfer. Particularly welcome are achievements that support the transfer of technologies or know-how to the skilled trades – including in the commercial and IT sectors – or that have enabled practical innovations for skilled trade businesses. The commitment of our apprentices and their contribution of creative ideas should be recognized.
