abstract = {This program computes the magneto-optic Kerr effect (MOKE)
of magnetic multi-layered thin-film systems. It is based on
the full 4x4 matrix formalism following: P. Yeh, Surface
Science 96, 41 (1980), and S. Visnovsky, Czechoslovak
Journal of Physics 41, 663 (1991). Apart from the complex
Kerr angles the program can also compute the layer-sensitive
coefficients linear and quadratic in the Cartesian
magnetization components as explained in: K. Postava et al.,
J. Appl. Phys. 91, 7293 (2002). (The quadratic coefficients
are restricted to isotropic or cubic materials with (001)
orientation at the moment). This program can also be used to
compute Brillouin Light Scattering (BLS) cross-sections as
described in: M. Buchmeier, H. Dassow, D. E. Bürgler and C.
M. Schneider, Intensity of Brillouin light scattering from
spin waves in magnetic multi-layers with non-collinear spin
configurations: Theory and experiment Phys. Rev. B 75, in
press (May 2007) and arXiv:cond-mat/0702021. The archive
contains the source code in C++ and a compiled binary for
i386-Linux.},
