AB  - German Committee for Research with Neutrons – Komitee Forschung mit Neutronen KFN –
AB  - by the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science JCNS of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. In
AB  - between the large European and international neutron scattering conferences ECNS (2011 in
AB  - Prague) and ICNS (2013 in Edinburgh), it offers the vibrant German and international neutron
AB  - community an opportunity to debate topical issues in a stimulating atmosphere. Originating
AB  - from “BMBF Verbundtreffen” – meetings for projects funded by the German Federal
AB  - Ministry of Education and Research – this conference series has a strong tradition of
AB  - providing a forum for the discussion of collaborative research projects and future developments
AB  - in the field of research with neutrons in general. Neutron scattering, by its very nature,
AB  - is used as a powerful probe in many different disciplines and areas, from particle and
AB  - condensed matter physics through to chemistry, biology, materials sciences, engineering
AB  - sciences, right up to geology and cultural heritage; the German Neutron Scattering
AB  - Conference thus provides a unique chance for exploring interdisciplinary research opportunities.
