abstract = {The EURISOL (European Isotope Separation On-Line
Radioactive Ion Beam Facility) project is aimed at the
design - and eventual construction - of the
"next-generation" European ISOL radioactive ion beam (RIB)
facility. The EURISOL Design Study (EURISOL DS) is a project
funded by the EUROPEAN COMMUNITY (chap. 8) within the 6th
Framework Programme as a Research Infrastructures Action
under the "Structuring the European Research Area Specific
Programme". The Project started officially on 1st February
2005, for the duration of 4 years. The EURISOL design study
                      produced detailed engineering-oriented studies andtechnical
prototyping work for the next-generation ISOL Radioactive
Ion Beam (RIB) facility in Europe. Twenty institutes and
laboratories within Europe had offered to take part in the
designstudy as full participants, with an additional 20
institutions – in Europe, North America and Asia –
collaborating as contributors. The work of EURISOL DS was
                      divided into 12 tasks:[...]},
