Abstract: A metacomputer provides access to heterogeneous computing resources connected by a network. The integration to such a virtual computer system has to be realized by a software layer taking care of all relevant security issues. This presentation examines a Kerberos-DCE based architecture designed using features provided by Kerberos and DCE, including Ticket Forwarding, DCE-Delegation, the Cell Directory Service and Cell Aliasing.
