Therefore, the history of research oil ozone has also received a good deal of attention. Here a short overview of ozone research (with a focus on the stratosphere) is given, starting from the first atmospheric measurements and ending with current developments. It is valuable to study the history of ozone research, because much can be learned for current research from an understanding of how previous discoveries were made. Moreover, since the 1970s, the history of ozone research has also encompassed also the history of the human impact oil the ozone layer and thus the history of policy measures taken to protect the ozone layer, notably the Montreal Protocol and its amendments and adjustments. The history of this development is particularly important because it may serve as a prototype for the development of policy measures for the protection of the Earth's climate. 000001719 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK406$$2G:(DE-HGF)$$aAtmosphäre und Klima$$cP22$$x0 000001719 588__ $$aDataset connected to Web of Science 000001719 650_7 $$2WoSType$$aJ 000001719 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2045168-4$$a10.1127/0941-2948/2009/0000$$gVol. 18, p. 3 - 24$$p3 - 24$$q18<3 - 24$$tMeteorologische Zeitschrift$$v18$$x0941-2948$$y2009 000001719 8567_ $$uhttp://dx.doi.org/10.1127/0941-2948/2009/0000 000001719 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:1719$$pVDB 000001719 9131_ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK406$$bUmwelt$$kP22$$lAtmosphäre und Klima$$vAtmosphäre und Klima$$x0$$zfortgesetzt als P23 000001719 9141_ $$y2009 000001719 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0010$$aJCR/ISI refereed 000001719 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)VDB790$$d30.09.2010$$gICG$$kICG-1$$lStratosphäre$$x1 000001719 970__ $$aVDB:(DE-Juel1)103325 000001719 980__ $$aVDB 000001719 980__ $$aConvertedRecord 000001719 980__ $$ajournal 000001719 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IEK-7-20101013 000001719 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000001719 981__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)ICE-4-20101013 000001719 981__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IEK-7-20101013
