AB  - This article outlines two parallelization tools, i.e. the Vienna Fortran Compilation System and FORGE 90, and discusses their analysis and transformation capabilities in the context of a regular grid application simulating the growth of a silicon crystal. We present performance results obtained on an iPSC/860 for both versions and for a manually parallelized version.
