In this study, we show that visual motion also distorts saccadic eye movements. Landing positions of saccades performed to objects presented in the vicinity of visual motion were biased in the direction of motion. The targeting errors for both saccades and perceptual reports were maximum during motion onset and were of very similar magnitude under the two conditions. These results suggest that visual motion affects a representation of spatial position, or spatial map, in a similar fashion for visuomotor action as for perception. 000020109 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK409$$2G:(DE-HGF)$$aFunktion und Dysfunktion des Nervensystems (FUEK409)$$cFUEK409$$x0 000020109 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF2-89572$$a89572 - (Dys-)function and Plasticity (POF2-89572)$$cPOF2-89572$$fPOF II T$$x1 000020109 536__ $$0G:(EU-Grant)229445$$aSTANIB - Space, Time and Number In the Brain (229445)$$c229445$$fERC-2008-AdG$$x2 000020109 588__ $$aDataset connected to Web of Science, Pubmed 000020109 65320 $$2Author$$avisual motion 000020109 65320 $$2Author$$avisual and motor space 000020109 65320 $$2Author$$aspatial position 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aHumans 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aMotion Perception: physiology 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aPerceptual Distortion: physiology 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aPhotic Stimulation: methods 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aSaccades: physiology 000020109 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aSpace Perception: physiology 000020109 650_7 $$2WoSType$$aJ 000020109 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aMorrone, M.C.$$b1 000020109 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aBurr, D.$$b2 000020109 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2106064-2$$a10.1167/12.2.10$$gVol. 12, p. 1 - 8$$p1 - 8$$q12<1 - 8$$tJournal of vision$$v12$$x1534-7362$$y2012 000020109 8567_ $$uhttp://dx.doi.org/10.1167/12.2.10 000020109 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:20109$$pec_fundedresources$$pVDB$$popenaire 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0040$$2StatID$$aPeer review unknown 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bThomson Reuters Master Journal List 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0310$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bNCBI Molecular Biology Database 000020109 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1110$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Clinical Medicine 000020109 9141_ $$y2012 000020109 9132_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-572$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-570$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-500$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lDecoding the Human Brain$$v(Dys-)function and Plasticity$$x0 000020109 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF2-89572$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-890$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-800$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bProgrammungebundene Forschung$$lohne Programm$$v(Dys-)function and Plasticity$$x1 000020109 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)INM-3-20090406$$gINM$$kINM-3$$lKognitive Neurowissenschaften$$x0 000020109 970__ $$aVDB:(DE-Juel1)135217 000020109 980__ $$aVDB 000020109 980__ $$aConvertedRecord 000020109 980__ $$ajournal 000020109 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)INM-3-20090406 000020109 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
