%X s-PS forms different co-crystals with several guest molecules[1] and so far different advanced materials[2] have been produced starting from s-PS co-crystalline films. To study the introduction of bulky molecules into s-PS lattice using guest exchange phenomenon we conducted a series of small angle neutron scattering experiments on s-PS clathrates with poly(ethylene-glycol)-dimethyl-ethers as guests with different molecular weight, by using the difference in scattering-length density between protonated and deuterated isotopologues.Furthermore, as sulfonated s-PS can be used as proton exchange membrane for fuel cells, we approached a structural study of these materials by preparing films of sulfonated s-PS co-crystals through a post-polymerization modification. The first results on two subjects will be presented.[1]. Chatani et al. Polymer, 1993, 34, 1620.[2]. Guerra et al. Journal of Polymer Science Part B, Polymer Physics, 2012, 50, 305.
