The Nuclear Fusion Project Management (KFS) coordinates all fusion-relevant activities within the Research Centre. This comprises, in particular, the two R&D projects "Nuclear Fusion and Plasma Research" as well as "Operation and Further Development of the TEXTOR Fusion Experiment". It is "head of the research group" within the meaning of the Association Agreement with EURATOM and, consequently, is also active in coordinating the execution of the TEC agreement. Moreover, it is the "representative of the Operating Agent" under the "IEA Implementing Agreement on Plasma Wall Interaction in TEXTOR". It fulfils these tasks jointly (in part also with the same persons) with the IPP institute management.
