%X dIn this numerically oriented paper we present first results of a self-consistent coupling of the linear impurity Monte-Carlo code DORIS with the code package B2-EIRENE. First we consider conditions under which the impurities of interest are of such a small concentration, that the trace impurity assumption is justified. Thus the numerical procedure in such cases includes only a coupled DORIS-EIRENE run on a fu;ed plasma background. As an example we present results of a numerical analysis of He-compression experiments performed on ASDEX Upgrade. Results obtained with the coupled DORIS-EIRENE procedure are compared with those provided by self-consistent calculations of the B2-EIRENE package in which the impurities are treated as a fluid.
