Morphology and microscopic investigations provide little clues on the specific biological affinity of Chuaria as numerous preservational artifacts seem to be incorporated. On the contrary, the predominance of n-aliphatic pyrolysates of presently studied Chuaria from India rather supports an algal affinity. Moreover, the reflectance of C. circularis can be used to obtain a comparative maturity parameter of the Precambrian sediments. The review of the age and geographical distribution of C. circularis constrains that this species cannot be considered as an index fossil for the Proterozoic time. 000057651 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK405$$2G:(DE-HGF)$$aGeosysteme - Erde im Wandel$$cP21$$x0 000057651 588__ $$aDataset connected to Web of Science 000057651 650_7 $$2WoSType$$aJ 000057651 65320 $$2Author$$aChuaria circularis 000057651 65320 $$2Author$$aMesoproterozoic 000057651 65320 $$2Author$$aVindhyan Supergroup 000057651 65320 $$2Author$$apyrolysis-gas chromatography 000057651 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aSteiner, M.$$b1 000057651 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aBanerjee, S.$$b2 000057651 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aErdtmann, B.-D.$$b3 000057651 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$avan Jeevankumar, S.$$b4 000057651 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)VDB1006$$aMann, U.$$b5$$uFZJ 000057651 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2081712-5$$a10.1007/BF02703028$$gVol. 115, p. 99 - 112$$p99 - 112$$q115<99 - 112$$tJournal of earth system science$$v115$$x0253-4126$$y2006 000057651 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:57651$$pVDB 000057651 9131_ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK405$$bUmwelt$$kP21$$lGeosysteme - Erde im Wandel$$vGeosysteme - Erde im Wandel$$x0 000057651 9141_ $$aNachtrag$$y2006 000057651 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0010$$aJCR/ISI refereed 000057651 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)VDB51$$d31.12.2006$$gICG$$kICG-V$$lSedimentäre Systeme$$x1 000057651 970__ $$aVDB:(DE-Juel1)90683 000057651 980__ $$aVDB 000057651 980__ $$aConvertedRecord 000057651 980__ $$ajournal 000057651 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)ICG-5-20090406 000057651 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000057651 981__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)ICG-5-20090406
