Dynamic skeletal scintigraphy with 780 MBq (20 mCi) Tc-99m HDP revealed increased perfusion and tracer uptake in the soft tissue of the lower legs, suggesting an inflammatory etiology. A muscle biopsy revealed a vasculitic necrotizing myopathy predominantly affecting the small vessels of the lower legs. We diagnosed it as a postinfectious immunologic reaction. 000062953 536__ $$0G:(DE-Juel1)FUEK409$$2G:(DE-HGF)$$aFunktion und Dysfunktion des Nervensystems$$cP33$$x0 000062953 588__ $$aDataset connected to Web of Science, Pubmed 000062953 65320 $$2Author$$avasculitis 000062953 65320 $$2Author$$amyositis 000062953 65320 $$2Author$$ahistopathology 000062953 65320 $$2Author$$aTc-99m HDP 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aAdult 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aBiopsy 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aCommon Cold: complications 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aElectromyography: methods 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aFemale 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aHumans 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aInflammation 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aMuscle, Skeletal: pathology 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aMuscular Diseases: diagnosis 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aMuscular Diseases: radionuclide imaging 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aNecrosis: diagnosis 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aNecrosis: radionuclide imaging 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aRadionuclide Imaging: methods 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aRadiopharmaceuticals: diagnostic use 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aTechnetium Tc 99m Medronate: analogs & derivatives 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aTechnetium Tc 99m Medronate: diagnostic use 000062953 650_2 $$2MeSH$$aTime Factors 000062953 650_7 $$00$$2NLM Chemicals$$aRadiopharmaceuticals 000062953 650_7 $$063347-66-0$$2NLM Chemicals$$aTechnetium Tc 99m Medronate 000062953 650_7 $$072945-61-0$$2NLM Chemicals$$atechnetium Tc 99m hydroxymethylene diphosphonate 000062953 650_7 $$2WoSType$$aJ 000062953 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aSparing, R.$$b1 000062953 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)131678$$aEickhoff, S.
