In this paper, pedestrian movement properties on signalized crosswalk is studied by carrying out series of experimentsunder laboratory condition. The influence of the directional split ratio in bidirectional streams on the capacity of crosswalk is investigated. It is found that the maximum reduction of the capacity occurs at directional splitratio of 0.5, which is different from the descriptions in High Capacity Manual (HCM) but agrees with the findings in [1]. However, the observed maximum flow is higher than that in previous studies. By comparing thefundamental diagrams among unidirectional flow, bidirectional flow in corridor and on crosswalk, significant differences are observed for rho> 2.0 m-2. Interestingly, the capacity of bidirectional flow on crosswalk is closeto unidirectional flow in corridor, which is higher than bidirectional flow in corridor. 000821213 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-511$$a511 - Computational Science and Mathematical Methods (POF3-511)$$cPOF3-511$$fPOF III$$x0 000821213 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)168116$$aCao, Shuchao$$b1$$ufzj 000821213 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)132266$$aSeyfried, Armin$$b2$$ufzj 000821213 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2854776-7$$nA11$$p1-618$$tCollective dynamics$$v1$$x2366-8539$$y2016 000821213 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:821213$$pVDB 000821213 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)156196$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 000821213 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)168116$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b1$$kFZJ 000821213 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)132266$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b2$$kFZJ 000821213 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-511$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-510$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lSupercomputing & Big Data$$vComputational Science and Mathematical Methods$$x0 000821213 9141_ $$y2016 000821213 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0550$$2StatID$$aNo Authors Fulltext 000821213 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)JSC-20090406$$kJSC$$lJülich Supercomputing Center$$x0 000821213 980__ $$acontrib 000821213 980__ $$aVDB 000821213 980__ $$ajournal 000821213 980__ $$acontb 000821213 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)JSC-20090406 000821213 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
