For determination of concentrations the reaction cross-section of the projectile with the targets has to be known, in general at the primary beam energy and all energies below. To reduce the experimental effort of cross-section measurements a new method is presented here. The method is based on the projectile energy reduction when passing matter of thick targets. The continuous slowing down approximation is used to determine cross-sections from a thick target at projectile energies below the primary energy by backward calculation of the measured product spectra. Results for 12C(3He,p)14N below 4.5 MeV are in rough agreement with literature data and reproduce the measured spectra. New data for reactions of 3He with 13C are acquired using the new technique. The applied approximations and further applications are discussed. 000826517 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-174$$a174 - Plasma-Wall-Interaction (POF3-174)$$cPOF3-174$$fPOF III$$x0 000826517 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef 000826517 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)1466524-4$$a10.1016/j.nimb.2017.01.017$$gVol. 394, p. 134 - 140$$p134 - 140$$tNuclear instruments & methods in physics research / B$$v394$$x0168-583X$$y2017 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.pdf$$yRestricted 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.gif?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yRestricted 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.jpg?subformat=icon-1440$$xicon-1440$$yRestricted 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.jpg?subformat=icon-180$$xicon-180$$yRestricted 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.jpg?subformat=icon-640$$xicon-640$$yRestricted 000826517 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/826517/files/1-s2.0-S0168583X17300174-main.pdf?subformat=pdfa$$xpdfa$$yRestricted 000826517 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:826517$$pVDB 000826517 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)139534$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 000826517 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-174$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-170$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-100$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bEnergie$$lKernfusion$$vPlasma-Wall-Interaction$$x0 000826517 9141_ $$y2017 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0420$$2StatID$$aNationallizenz 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bNUCL INSTRUM METH B : 2015 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0600$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bEbsco Academic Search 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0030$$2StatID$$aPeer Review$$bASC 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bThomson Reuters Master Journal List 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0110$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1160$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Engineering, Computing and Technology 000826517 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9900$$2StatID$$aIF < 5 000826517 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)IEK-4-20101013$$kIEK-4$$lPlasmaphysik$$x0 000826517 980__ $$ajournal 000826517 980__ $$aVDB 000826517 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IEK-4-20101013 000826517 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000826517 981__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IFN-1-20101013
