Abstract: Local dynamics of phospholipids are effected by various parameters as temperature, pressure, hydration oradditives. In recent years neutron scattering has probed this dynamics at various time and length scales in the nanotopicosecond time range. We will show the influence of small molecules as short chain alcohols and cholesterol onthe phospholipid local dynamics as probed by elastic and inelastic neutron scattering. By these methods local diffusioncoefficients and motions are derived as well as thermodynamic parameters.
