LUBO crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P63/m and exhibits a zeolite-like anionic borate framework (B14O27)12-. The main structural unit of the framework is a tubule consisting of six-membered B6O18 rings. Each ring is connected to the successive one by three diborate groups, and these tubules propagate along the c axis. The tubules possess six-membered ring (MR) windows in the axial direction and 8-MR windows on its sides. Interconnection of the parallel tubules, which consist exclusively of BO4 tetrahedra, is provided by triangular BO3 fragments perpendicular to the axis of the tubules. The framework has large pores as well as channels with 8-MR windows extending along the [100], [010], and [110] directions that are consistent with the overall hexagonal symmetry of the structure. The lead cations occupy 8-MR windows and form [Pb3(H2O)] groups with attached water molecules that are located at the center of the tubules. The method of Voronoi–Dirichlet tessellation reveals that the lone pairs of the lead cations are located outside the tubule. Uranyl cations form UO8 coordination polyhedra in the shape of a hexagonal bipyramid. The thermal stability and vibrational spectroscopy of LUBO are also delineated in this work. 000842954 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-161$$a161 - Nuclear Waste Management (POF3-161)$$cPOF3-161$$fPOF III$$x0 000842954 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)HGF-YIG-Energy$$aHelmholtz Young Investigators Group: Energy (HGF-YIG-Energy)$$cHGF-YIG-Energy$$x1 000842954 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef 000842954 65027 $$0V:(DE-MLZ)SciArea-110$$2V:(DE-HGF)$$aChemistry$$x0 000842954 65027 $$0V:(DE-MLZ)SciArea-240$$2V:(DE-HGF)$$aCrystallography$$x1 000842954 65017 $$0V:(DE-MLZ)GC-110$$2V:(DE-HGF)$$aEnergy$$x0 000842954 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aKlepov, Vladislav V.$$b1 000842954 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)159378$$aKegler, Philip$$b2 000842954 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)130383$$aModolo, Giuseppe$$b3 000842954 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)130324$$aBosbach, Dirk$$b4 000842954 7001_ $$00000-0002-2989-3311$$aAlbrecht-Schmitt, Thomas E.$$b5 000842954 7001_ $$00000-0002-1526-1102$$aWang, Shuao$$b6 000842954 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)144426$$aAlekseev, Evgeny$$b7$$eCorresponding author$$ufzj 000842954 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2048329-6$$a10.1021/acs.cgd.7b01487$$gVol. 18, no. 1, p. 498 - 505$$n1$$p498 - 505$$tCrystal growth & design$$v18$$x1528-7505$$y2018 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.pdf$$yRestricted 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.gif?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yRestricted 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.jpg?subformat=icon-1440$$xicon-1440$$yRestricted 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.jpg?subformat=icon-180$$xicon-180$$yRestricted 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.jpg?subformat=icon-640$$xicon-640$$yRestricted 000842954 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/842954/files/acs.cgd.7b01487.pdf?subformat=pdfa$$xpdfa$$yRestricted 000842954 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:842954$$pVDB 000842954 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)165796$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 000842954 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)159378$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b2$$kFZJ 000842954 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)130383$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b3$$kFZJ 000842954 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)130324$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b4$$kFZJ 000842954 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)144426$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b7$$kFZJ 000842954 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-161$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-160$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-100$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bEnergie$$lNukleare Entsorgung und Sicherheit sowie Strahlenforschung$$vNuclear Waste Management$$x0 000842954 9141_ $$y2018 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0310$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bNCBI Molecular Biology Database 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bCRYST GROWTH DES : 2015 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0600$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bEbsco Academic Search 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0030$$2StatID$$aPeer Review$$bASC 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bThomson Reuters Master Journal List 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0110$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences 000842954 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9900$$2StatID$$aIF < 5 000842954 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)IEK-6-20101013$$kIEK-6$$lNukleare Entsorgung und Reaktorsicherheit$$x0 000842954 980__ $$ajournal 000842954 980__ $$aVDB 000842954 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IEK-6-20101013 000842954 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000842954 981__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)IFN-2-20101013
