abstract = {After a short introduction about neutron scattering, the
audience is directed to examples involving surfactants.
Results from microemulsions with polymeric additives are
summarized with a deeper view on a tapered polymer. Then,
microemulsions exposed to hydrophilic planar surfaces are in
the focus. The method of grazing incidence neutron
scattering provides excellent possibilities to study
structure and dynamics at the solid-liquid interface.
Dispersing clay particles in the microemulsion takes the
view from model planar surfaces to macroscopically
observable phenomena such as rheological properties.
Finally, the example of liquid bilayers in aqueous
environment reveals viscoelastic properties on the
nanosecond time scales. The lecture is closed by looking on
the future of grazing incidence neutron scattering
experiments.},
