000884200 520__ $$aIn an effort to bundle efforts towards novel accelerator-driven neutron sources inEurope, it has been proposed to create ELENA – the European Low Energyaccelerator-based Neutron facility Association. Aim of the association is to promotecooperation between European laboratories or private companies working in thefield of neutron sources based on an accelerator and a stripping reaction to produceneutrons. ELENA will enhance the visibility of the corresponding neutron sourceprojects and be a platform to initiate collaborations, organize conferences,workshops and meetings in order to create an effective eco-system for research andapplications in all areas of science and industry around these neutron sources.
