We present four perspectives in defense of dRDM, illustrating that, in contrast to centralized or federated research data management solutions, a dRDM system based on heterogeneous but interoperable components can offer a sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and adaptive infrastructure for scientific stakeholders: An individual scientist or laboratory, a research institute, a domain data archive or cloud computing platform, and a collaborative multisite consortium. All perspectives share the use of a common, self-contained, portable data structure as an abstraction from current technology and service choices. In conjunction, the four perspectives review how varying requirements of independent scientific stakeholders can be addressed by a scalable, uniform dRDM solution and present a working system as an exemplary implementation. 000888287 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$a525 - Decoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction (POF4-525)$$cPOF4-525$$fPOF IV$$x0 000888287 536__ $$0G:(EU-Grant)826421$$aVirtualBrainCloud - Personalized Recommendations for Neurodegenerative Disease (826421)$$c826421$$fH2020-SC1-DTH-2018-1$$x1 000888287 536__ $$0G:(EU-Grant)945539$$aHBP SGA3 - Human Brain Project Specific Grant Agreement 3 (945539)$$c945539$$x2 000888287 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef 000888287 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aPestilli, Franco$$b1 000888287 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)178612$$aWagner, Adina S.$$b2$$ufzj 000888287 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aMarkiewicz, Christopher J.$$b3 000888287 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aPoline, Jean-Baptiste$$b4 000888287 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aHalchenko, Yaroslav O.$$b5 000888287 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2855056-0$$a10.1515/nf-2020-0037$$gVol. 0, no. 0$$n1$$p17-25$$tNeuroforum$$v27$$x0947-0875$$y2021 000888287 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/888287/files/APC600169206.pdf 000888287 8564_ $$uhttps://juser.fz-juelich.de/record/888287/files/%5B23637013%20-%20Neuroforum%5D%20In%20defense%20of%20decentralized%20research%20data%20management.pdf$$yOpenAccess 000888287 8767_ $$8APC600169206$$92020-11-20$$d2020-12-02$$eHybrid-OA$$jZahlung erfolgt$$zINM-7 Belegnummer: 1200160398 000888287 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:888287$$pdnbdelivery$$popenCost$$pec_fundedresources$$pVDB$$pdriver$$pOpenAPC$$popen_access$$popenaire 000888287 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0310$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bNCBI Molecular Biology Database$$d2020-09-02 000888287 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS$$d2020-09-02 000888287 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0510$$2StatID$$aOpenAccess 000888287 915__ $$0LIC:(DE-HGF)CCBY4$$2HGFVOC$$aCreative Commons Attribution CC BY 4.0 000888287 9141_ $$y2021 000888287 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)177087$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b0$$kFZJ 000888287 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)178612$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b2$$kFZJ 000888287 9130_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-574$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-570$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lDecoding the Human Brain$$vTheory, modelling and simulation$$x0 000888287 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-520$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lNatural, Artificial and Cognitive Information Processing$$vDecoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction$$x0 000888287 920__ $$lyes 000888287 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)INM-7-20090406$$kINM-7$$lGehirn & Verhalten$$x0 000888287 980__ $$ajournal 000888287 980__ $$aVDB 000888287 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED 000888287 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)INM-7-20090406 000888287 980__ $$aAPC 000888287 980__ $$aOPENSCIENCE 000888287 9801_ $$aAPC 000888287 9801_ $$aFullTexts
