520 _ _ |a A recent single–pore model for performance of cathode catalyst layer (CCL) in a low–Pt PEM fuel cell is further developed and used to fit experimental polarization curves. Analytical formula for the limiting current density is derived, which contains oxygen diffusivities in the void pore and ionomer film covering Pt/C agglomerates. Least–squares fitting of model to experimental polarization curves returns CCL proton conductivity and parameters of oxygen transport in the pore and film.
