AB - Thermodynamic studies of a single crystal lead titanate (PbTiO3) doped with manganese (Mn) under equilibrium conditions by the method of Knudsen Effusion Mass Spectrometry (KEMS) were conducted in the temperature range 950–1250 K. The vaporization of pure PbO(c) was investigated at temperatures of 810–1040 K. The ferro-paraelectric phase change at 763 K is supposed to be classified as a continuous transition. The thermodynamic activity lead oxide was higher in a Mn-doped PbTiO3 (stability was lower than in pure PbTiO3). Titanium (Ti) was replaced by manganese (Mn) in the perovskite structure within the solubility range, and lead (Pb) was certainly not replaced. PbTiO3:Mn(c) showed long-term stability nearby the ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition. The ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition at 763 K is supposed to be classified as a continuous transition.
