HMC Dialogue: Pitch Perfect, virtualvirtual, 22 Apr 20222022-04-22

Abstract: Collecting metadata during experiments is only beneficial if it can be used later. We are developing BEAVERDAM (Build, Explore, And Visualize ExpeRiment DAtabases of Metadata) as a tool to interactively explore metadata, and testing it on a dataset from neuroscience experiments. Users can combine metadata from multiple experiments into a database, identify experiments meeting criteria, and view graphs summarizing the results. We hope BEAVERDAM will help scientists get an overview of their experiments and inform further analyses.
