AB - Behavioural and theoretical investigations of impulsivity indicate that it is a multidimensional construct including diverse behaviours like deficits of response inhibition and steep discounting of future rewards1,2. However, most investigations of its neural correlates only focus on individual dimensions or behaviours, leaving the neurobiological associations between dimensions poorly understood. Using coordinate-based meta-analyses we here aimed to delineate a comprehensive brain network associated with impulsivity by focusing on two of its dimensions: response inhibition and delayed consequence sensitivity (DCS). Furthermore, we characterized the functional organization of the resulting network, including its relationship to neurochemical properties.
