Abstract: With the increasing activities of designing (cryogenic) circuits for qubits, the necessity for simulation tools for qubit-electronics combinations is rising as well. This is especially true for semiconductor spin qubits where the potential of large-scale 3D integration is counted as a deciding advantage of the technology. To realize 3D integration with dedicated electronics, combined simulations (co-simulations) are essential. Different ideas have been proposed for co-simulation, from integrating qubits into circuit schematic simulators, to using interfaces between different software tools. These ideas differ in their computational complexity, but also in the accuracy and the inclusion of physical properties. We will present a review on the current state of the art and show current results of ongoing co-simulation efforts.
