Although neuroimaging studies adopted activation likelihood estimation (ALE) approach to identify the convergent abnormalities of human brain in the MDD patients, the common alterations after antidepressant therapies were not summarized. Thus, we extracted the coordinates of brain regions in the MDD patients that showed differences in resting-state function, gray matter morphometry, and task-evoked neuronal responses after therapies. The ALE algorithm (GingerALE2.0.3) was employed in all 53 studies (64 experiments with 1406 MDD patients). Consistent results across treatment therapies were reported in the affective control network, including the bilateral thalamus, bilateral amygdala/parahippocampal gyrus, right anterior cingulate cortex/middle frontal gyrus, and right insular cortex/claustrum. Only electroconvulsive therapy partially replicated above findings. Our results indicate the antidepressant therapies efficiently influence core structures of the affective control network, which might be the underlying mechanism of remission in depression and provides potential targets for further treatment strategies. 000910727 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5251$$a5251 - Multilevel Brain Organization and Variability (POF4-525)$$cPOF4-525$$fPOF IV$$x0 000910727 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5253$$a5253 - Neuroimaging (POF4-525)$$cPOF4-525$$fPOF IV$$x1 000910727 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5252$$a5252 - Brain Dysfunction and Plasticity (POF4-525)$$cPOF4-525$$fPOF IV$$x2 000910727 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef, Journals: juser.fz-juelich.de 000910727 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aHu, Quanling$$b1 000910727 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aZhang, Delong$$b2 000910727 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)131684$$aHoffstaedter, Felix$$b3$$ufzj 000910727 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)131672$$aBauer, Andreas$$b4$$ufzj 000910727 7001_ $$0P:(DE-Juel1)131679$$aElmenhorst, David$$b5$$eCorresponding author$$ufzj 000910727 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)1498433-7$$a10.1016/j.neubiorev.2022.104643$$gVol. 137, p. 104643 -$$p104643 -$$tNeuroscience & biobehavioral reviews$$v137$$x0149-7634$$y2022 000910727 909CO $$ooai:juser.fz-juelich.de:910727$$pVDB 000910727 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)131684$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b3$$kFZJ 000910727 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)131672$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b4$$kFZJ 000910727 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)5008462-8$$6P:(DE-Juel1)131679$$aForschungszentrum Jülich$$b5$$kFZJ 000910727 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-520$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$9G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5251$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lNatural, Artificial and Cognitive Information Processing$$vDecoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction$$x0 000910727 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-520$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$9G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5253$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lNatural, Artificial and Cognitive Information Processing$$vDecoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction$$x1 000910727 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-525$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-520$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-500$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$9G:(DE-HGF)POF4-5252$$aDE-HGF$$bKey Technologies$$lNatural, Artificial and Cognitive Information Processing$$vDecoding Brain Organization and Dysfunction$$x2 000910727 9141_ $$y2022 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0160$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bEssential Science Indicators$$d2021-01-31 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0113$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded$$d2021-01-31 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0420$$2StatID$$aNationallizenz$$d2022-11-09$$wger 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bClarivate Analytics Master Journal List$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1050$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bBIOSIS Previews$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1030$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Life Sciences$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1120$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bBIOSIS Reviews Reports And Meetings$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bNEUROSCI BIOBEHAV R : 2021$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0600$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bEbsco Academic Search$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0030$$2StatID$$aPeer Review$$bASC$$d2022-11-09 000910727 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9905$$2StatID$$aIF >= 5$$bNEUROSCI BIOBEHAV R : 2021$$d2022-11-09 000910727 920__ $$lyes 000910727 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)INM-7-20090406$$kINM-7$$lGehirn & Verhalten$$x0 000910727 9201_ $$0I:(DE-Juel1)INM-2-20090406$$kINM-2$$lMolekulare Organisation des Gehirns$$x1 000910727 980__ $$ajournal 000910727 980__ $$aVDB 000910727 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)INM-7-20090406 000910727 980__ $$aI:(DE-Juel1)INM-2-20090406 000910727 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
