abstract = {Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) is an
important technique for determining the presence of elements
in unknown samples. The PGNAA technique measures the emitted
prompt gammas from neutron capture of a target nuclei. The
emitted prompt gammas have an energy which is element
specific enabling to determine precisely the concentration
of these elements for homogeneous samples. For inhomogeneous
samples, the concentration determination has a large
uncertainty due to the position dependent neutron flux in a
sample. The Time-of-Flight (ToF) technique allows the
determination of the neutron energy during the measurements.
Combining ToF with PGNAA yields depth resolved information
of the elemental concentration as neutrons with different
energies probe different volumes within the sample. In the
seminar, I will explain the basics of PGNAA and present the
                      idea of a ToF-PGNAA. A detailed study of a ToF-PGNAA setup
will be presented using Monte Carlo methods like OpenMC and
a experimental validation at the RANS-I neutron source in
                      RIKEN.},
