Excitation functions of (p,γ) and (p,n) reactions on zinc up to 4 MeV
Radiochimica acta 113(12), 945 - 952 () [10.1515/ract-2025-0069]
Proton-induced reaction cross sections for 64Zn(p,γ)65Ga, 67Zn(p,γ)68Ga, 70Zn(p,n)70Ga, and natZn(p,x)67Ga were measured in the 2.0–4.0 MeV energy range at a 3 MV Tandem Accelerator, using the stacked-foil activation technique in combination with high resolution γ-ray spectrometry. The obtained results are comparable to literature data determined via prompt γ-counting and X-ray counting methods. [...]

Electrochemical Performance and Stability of $Li_7 Si_2 S_7 I$ Solid Electrolytes in Solid-State Battery Cathode Composites
The development of solid electrolytes (SEs) for high-performance solid-state batteries (SSBs) requires not only favorable electrochemical stability but also interfacial compatibility with diverse cathode chemistries. In this study, we systematically benchmark recently discovered $Li_7Si_2S_7I$ against the well-established argyrodite $Li_{5.5}PS_{4.5}Cl_{1.5}$ as an SE in composite cathodes. [...]

Fabrication, characterization and mechanical loading of Si/SiGe membranes for spin qubit devices
arXiv () [10.48550/ARXIV.2508.14589]
Si/SiGe heterostructures on bulk Si substrates have been shown to host high fidelity electron spin qubits. Building a scalable quantum processor would, however, benefit from further improvement of critical material properties such as the valley splitting landscape. [...]

Differential gait disturbances in patients with Parkinson's disease and normal pressure hydrocephalus
Introduction: Gait disturbances are a key symptom in normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) and Parkinson's disease (PD). We employed instrument-supported gait analysis to characterize commonalities and differences in gait patterns among PD and NPH patients, as well as gait changes following disease-specific interventions (i.e., spinal tap and dopaminergic medication). Methods: Gait and balance analyses were conducted i) before and after NPH patients (n = 19) received a spinal tap, and ii) before and after PD patients (n = 19) received soluble dopaminergic medication. [...]

Structural reserve-dependent cortical rerouting of motor control after stroke
Brain awaf434 () [10.1093/brain/awaf434]
Structural cortico-cortical connectivity is essential for motor recovery after stroke, with undamaged fibre tracts potentially serving as structural reserve for functional reorganization. Yet, the mechanisms by which the structural reserve contributes to changes in functional network configurations to improve post-stroke motor control remains unknown [...]

Phenotypic and genetic diversity of root traits in recombinant barley inbred lines
European Plant Phenomics Symposium, EPPS25, BonnBonn, Germany, 16 Sep 2025 - 19 Sep 20252025-09-162025-09-19
Root system architecture (RSA) phenotypes have been recognized as a research target in relation to stress tolerance and to their possible beneficial effects on seedlings establishment and yield stability. In recent years, the combination of new phenotyping methods with SNP data and gene expression profiling has provided a path to uncover the key genetic components underlying RSA traits expression. [...]
