Abstract: An artrificial Solid electrolyte Interphase was applied to an litiophilic Ag and lithiophobic Cu doped carbon fiber material for zero-excess Li batteries. Cell performance after application of the artificial SEI improves for the interlayer to over 1300 h plating/stripping at 2.5 mAh/cm2 against lithium metal and full cells with over 92% capacity after 300 cycles with a charge/discharge cycle duration of about 1.5 h.
