Abstract: The layered superconductor NbSe2 displays unconventional Ising superconductivity that remains resilient to specific orientations of external magnetic fields. To investigate this behavior, we employed a combination of the Bogoliubov-de-Gennes formalism within the Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker Green function method and the Coherent Potential Approximation. Our study focused on understanding the impact of dilute concentrations of magnetic transition-metal impurities on the superconducting properties of NbSe2.The ab initio results revealed a reduction in superconductivity at higher concentrations of magnetic impurities, aligning with predictions from the Abrikosov-Gorkov theory.
