Abstract: In anticipation of the I/O and storage needs of the exascale era, the IO-SEA project has developed a novel storage environment. To test components of this environment, the IO-SEA prototype system is installed on the DEEP system at Juelich Supercomputing Centre, and available to scientific use-case applications. We give an overview of the IO-SEA storage environment and prototype data nodes, as well as the IO-SEA workflow manager which provides ephemeral storage services to user workflows. We will also provide a tutorial demonstration of how to run a workflow using the workflow manager and take advantage of the various available ephemeral services.
