In general, a sulfidic ore body tends to have a higher conductivity and chargeability than the surrounding. Thus, the overall significance of the subsurface model derived from the electrical conductivity is expected to be increased by applying the RMT, DC and IP methods. The idea is to use the resulting resistivity model from the 2D DC/RMT joint inversion as a starting model for the 2D inversion of the IP chargeability data. One part of the project is to develop a 2D DC/IP modelling code using the finite element method with unstructured mesh. Some test results of the algorithm just being developed will be shown on the poster. In addition, DC and RMT data were collected during an ore exploration survey in Western Turkey and interpreted by conventional 2D inversion software. The results of these modelling results will be presented and discussed on the poster. 000852677 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aTezkan, Bülent$$b1 000852677 7001_ $$0P:(DE-HGF)0$$aCandansayar, M.
