520 _ _ |a This work is a part of the BMBF-TÜBITAK project ``Two-Dimensional joint interpretation ofradiomagnetotelluric , direct current resistivity and induced polarization data; an example from anore exploration''. Until now RMT, DCR and IP surveys have not been used jointly for miningexploration. The overall significance of the subsurface model derived from the electricalconductivity is expected to be increased by applying all three methods. One advantage is that theRMT method is sensitive to good conductors whereas the DCR method is more sensitive to badconductors. In addition the IP method resolves the chargeability of the subsurface. A sulfidic orebody tends to have a higher conductivity and chargeability than the surrounding.The first step in the project is to develop a 2D DC/IP modeling code using the finite elementmethod with unstructured mesh to represent complex resistivity structures adequately. Thealgorithm under development will be shown on the poster and the achieved test results usingsynthetic data will be demonstrated.
