%X Functionalization with terminal organophosphonate and -arsonate groups allows for crystallization and structural characterization of elusive homometallic phosphotungstates of the {PV4WVI24} archetype. 31P NMR measurements reveal moderate stability in aqueous solution for the [(PhPO)2P4W24O92]16− derivative, enabling consecutive reactions as exemplified by the formation of a CoII-{P4W24}-based coordination polymer.
