Abstract: The JUWELS Booster in Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) in Germany is one of the first supercomputers based on the NVIDIA A100 GPU. The system will provide a performance of about 70 petaflops per second and is scheduled to go into production mode in November. We'll provide an overview of the architecture and performance features of the JUWELS Booster system, including key insights into JSC's early access program, covering topics such as fundamental physics and earth system modeling. We'll also share initial performance results obtained on the bring-up system.
