Abstract: This final report summarizes the results of the R&D-work on the system "Long-Distance Nuclear Energy Transport" (NFE) using the thermo-chemical pipeline System (TCP) steam reforming/ methanation. By means of laboratory investigations on catalyst performance, by successful operation of the pilot plants EVA I/ADAM I - IRMA and the demonstration plant EVA II/ ADAM II and by qualifying tests on high-temperature alloys as well, it has been proved that such systems can be designed and operated according to technical and commerciallike standards. The successful long-time operation was especially demonstrated by the 8 000 hours total operation time of the 10 MW plant EVA II/ ADAM II .
