Abstract: In a toroidal guiding center plasma with hot ions and cold electrons at surface, the plasma scrape-off layer is computed from the drift orbits of magnetically untrappedions that do not reach the collector plates of an axialsymmetric divertor. The scrape-off thickness is of the poloidal Larmor radius (R$_{p}$) order.
