Abstract: After precleaning the dissolver off-gas contains, besides fhe noble gases Xe and Kr, about 0,5 vol. % each of NO$_{x}$ and H$_{2}$O. For the removal of these NO$_{x}$ and H$_{2}$O residues to below 1 ppm, an adsorptive gas cleaning process has been developed and tested on a lab-scale. For the process, an acid resistant molecular sieve was selected and its properties investigated with respect to application; e. g. the dependence of the adsorption capacity on temperature, gas composition and face velocity. By the operation of a lab-scale facility with 400 Nl/h continuous off-gas throughput the suitability of the adsorption process has been demonstrated for off-gas cleaning and recycling of the separated NO$_{2}$ and H$_{2}$O to the dissolver.
