Abstract: Monte-Carlo Simulations of QCD with dynamical up, down, strange and charm quarks are carried out on lattices with large volumes and fine lattice spacings using a new massive renormalisation and improvement scheme that is tailored towards situations with a dynamical charm quark. The lattice spacings of the generated ensembles are determined and first physical results, concerning the mass spectrum of mesons built from a charm and anti-charm quark, are presented.
